How to export your WhatsApp chat

Choose your device and follow the steps.

Export with media for the best results.

Open the chat you want to export.

Step 2

Tap the chat name at the top.

Step 3

Scroll down and tap "Export Chat".

Choose "Include Media" and save the zip.

Tap the three dots in the top-right.

Tap "More", then tap "Export chat".

Choose "Include Media" and save the zip.

Step 5

If you do not see a save option, tap "More" and choose "Save to Drive" or email it to yourself, then download the zip later.

Once you have the zip, drop it on the homepage to view the chat locally.
