How to export your WhatsApp chat

Choose your device and follow the steps.

iPhone (iOS)

Export with media for the best results.

Step 1

Open the chat you want to export.

Step 2

Tap the chat name at the top.

Step 3

Scroll down and tap "Export Chat".

Step 4

Choose "Include Media" and save the zip.

Fastest way: Share directly to WhatsViz

Step 1: Setup (First time)

Install WhatsViz as an app: Tap the three dots (⋮) in Chrome → "Add to Home screen" or "Install".

Step 2: Export Chat

In WhatsApp, open your chat → tap three dots → "More" → "Export chat".

Step 3: Include Media

Choose "Include Media" for the full experience.

Step 4: Share to Icon

In the share menu, tap the "WhatsViz" icon. The file will open here automatically—no need to save to Drive!

Once you have the zip, drop it on the homepage to view the chat locally.
